Another nomination for PIE 2009
Pastry In Europe is nominated for the 2010 Le Cordon Bleu World Food Media Awards, in the category Best Hard Cover Recipe Book over 35 euros. On May 3rd we will hear if we are the big winner.... We'll keep you posted.

The first pallets have left the building
TNT has just picked up the first two pallets of PIE 2010 at our office in Belgium to ship all over the globe. Just some countries it will be send to: USA, Canada, Japan, Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Spain, France, Switzerland, New Zealand, Australia, Taiwan and so on...
By the way: moving a pallet of 900 pounds in the snow isn't easy at all ( see the pics)...

Packing the books
Our colleagues Martine Lallement and Kristel Pintjens have a very busy schedule these days. They are just back from the foodshow in Assen and now they´re just packing and packing all the orders of PIE 2010 that came in the last days. Yesterday they shipped already dozens of boxes and now there are another 30 boxes waiting to be shipped. Want to make their schedule even tighter? The Awards
Well, we didn't win the award for best Dessert Book for 2009, but still we are the fourth Dessert Book of the world that was published in 2009. With over 8000 books published last year, being the fourth is a great result and we are proud of it. We even think that our 2010 issue is even nicer than the 2009 edition. So, let's see what that will bring. Something odd is that the winner of the best dessert book in the world is pictured in our 2010 edition: Franz Ziegler from Switzerland.

The best four Pastry books in the world
With only a few weeks till the grande finale in Paris, Pastry In Europe 2009 is one of the four finalists to become the best Dessert Book in the World, nominated by the World Gourmand Cookbook Awards. Yes, we are getting really nervous. On thursday evening february 11th we know if we made it. We'll keep you posted.

PIE has been awarded the Best Desserts Book In Belgium
The annual World Gourmand Cookbook Awards recognize the best and most important culinary books. A month ago we were nominated for our book Pastry In Europe 2009 and today we are very happy to announce that this book won the prize as Best Dessert Book in Belgium. Now we just have to wait for the grand finale in Paris in February to hear if PIE 2009 is also the best Dessert Book in the world. We keep our fingers crossed!
However, being the best in Belgium is a big honour, it is The country in the world well known for its pastry and its chocolates.
Champagne!!!!!
